Alena Schillerová
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance
Alena Schillerová is a Czech lawyer, manager and politician. From 2017 to 2021, she was Finance Minister of the Czech Republic and one of only three finance ministers in post-Soviet history to achieve a budget surplus. Prior to her political career, she worked as an expert deputy for taxes and customs, being responsible for, among other things, the successful implementation of the electronic sales registration project; she has held various senior management positions in Financial Administration.
Alena Schillerová is married, has a daughter and a son and lives alternately in Brno and Prague. Her hobbies are her family, especially her grandchildren, long walks, gardening, performing arts, literature and social networking.
