Adam Vojtěch
Minister of Health
Adam Vojtěch was born in České Budějovice. After graduating from Biskupské gymnázium J. N. Neumanna, he joined the Faculty of Law of Charles University and the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University, majoring in media studies. He also studied law for one year at University College Dublin. He was active during his studies, leading the Všehrd Society of Czech Lawyers.
After his studies, he first joined Mafra, a. s. as a corporate lawyer before moving on to the Ministry of Finance, where he worked mainly in the field of regulation and financing of health care, oversight of the management of health insurance companies, etc. Subsequently, he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and appointed Minister of Health, in which role he initiated a number of systemic changes, such as the introduction of electronic prescription of medicines, reform of primary care and mental health care. From February 2022, he served as Head of the Embassy in Helsinki. He was re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies in October 2025.
He is fluent in English and Spanish. He has been a lifelong musician. He is married and has two children.
