On Monday, 7 July 2025, Prime Minister Petr Fiala met with the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, whose term of the Polish Head of State is about to end in the coming weeks, in a bilateral meeting at the Kramář’s Villa. The meeting was an opportunity not only to assess the bilateral relations, but also to evaluate the cooperation between the two countries.

"We have had a lot personal meetings with President Andrzej Duda - in Prague, Warsaw and at international summits. We have always held an open, honest and partnership dialogue. I thanked him for the cooperation so far and I believe that the Czech-Polish relations will continue to be as good as before," said Prime Minister Petr Fiala.

The main topics of the negotiation included cooperation in the field of defence industry and transport infrastructure. The two statesmen praised the growing economic exchange between the two countries and the continued united attitude toward Russian aggression in Ukraine. Prime Minister Fiala also thanked Poland for their active role during their presidency of the EU Council and expressed his conviction that the newly elected President Karol Nawrocki will continue to strengthen the Czech-Polish relations.
