Preventive tests for Covid-19 will remain free for all insured, government decides
At a meeting on Monday, 23 August 2021, the government decided to keep the covid-19 tests free of charge for all insured persons.
At today's meeting, the government decided that preventive tests for Covid-19 will continue to be covered by health insurance. All insured will therefore still have access to one antigen test per week and two PCR tests per month. The government has abolished the emergency measures under which the tests were to be free from 1 September only for people under 18 years of age, for those with incomplete vaccinations and those who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons.
