Marek Výborný
Minister for Agriculture
Marek Výborný was born in Chrudim. He graduated from the Cyril and Methodius Theological Faculty and the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University in Olomouc, majoring in theology and history. He is a widower and raises three children.
Between 2001 and 2019, he worked as a teacher of history, social sciences and Latin at the grammar school in Pardubice, which he also headed as headmaster between 2012 and 2018. In 2005, he joined the KDU-ČSL and since 2006 he has been a town councillor in Heřmanův Městec. In 2017, he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies, where he served as a member of the Constitutional and Legal Committee and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Enforcement, Insolvency and Debt Settlement.
Between 2019 and 2020, Marek Výborný was also the chairman of the KDU-ČSL, and from October 2021 to June 2023 he led the party's deputy club.
