Prime ministers discuss the future of the EU, the budget and migration policy in a V4 summit
Prime Minister Andrej Babiš attended, on his visit to Hungary, a summit of prime ministers of the Visegrad Group countries. The main topic was the future of the European Union, the Multi-annual Financial Framework, and preparation for the February meeting of the European Council in Brussels. Later, he also met with the new Prime Minister of the Polish Republic Mateusz Morawiecki.

Premier Babiš: The World Economic Forum in Davos is a great and efficiently spent time
On Thursday 25 January 2018, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš took part in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. During two panel discussions with premiers, presidents, politicians from all over the world, EU commissioners and representatives of international organisations, he was debating an efficient reform of the European Union and its further direction. He met most of the European premiers and had bilateral talks with premiers of Luxembourg, Portugal, Estonia, Israel and the Chairman of the UN General Assembly.

The Prime Minister Babiš held talks with the Prime Minister of Saxony Kretschmer regarding the development of cross-border transport
On Wednesday, 24 January 2018, the Prime Minister Andrej Babiš met with Michael Kretchmer, the new Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony. During their negotiations in Kramář’s Villa, they talked about further development of the extraordinary Czech-Saxon relationships, particularly within the Czech- German strategic dialogue and the Czech-German Future Fund.

On Tuesday, 23 January 2018, a traditional New Year meeting of the Prime Minister with the diplomatic corps took place in the Lichtenstein Palace. The Prime Minister Andrej Babiš assured the diplomats that the Czech Republic will continue to remain a reliable member of the international community and an active participant in the debate regarding the future of the European Union. The meeting was also attended by members of the government.

Prime Minister Babiš talked to Bulgarian Prime Minister Borisov about country's priorities during its presidency of the Council of the EU
On Monday, 22 January 2018, the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš visited Bulgaria. In Sofia he met with the Prime Minister Bojko Borisov and the President Rumen Radev. They discussed mutual bilateral cooperation and, particularly, the topical European issues in connection with the Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Prime Minister Babiš discussed Czech-Slovak relations with the Slovak Premier Fico
On Friday, 5 January 2018, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, met in Slovakia at his first official foreign visit with Premier Robert Fico. At their meeting, they agreed on intensifying cooperation in several key areas such as transport infrastructure or defence. They also spoke of joint celebrations of the anniversary in 2018.

Premier Babiš spoke on the phone with the Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki
Today, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš had a telephone conversation with the new Polish Premier Mateusz Morawiecki. Premier Babiš called his Polish counterpart to discuss the European Commission's decision on launching a process against Poland due to alleged violation of the rule of law.
