Premier Babiš met with the new Slovakian Prime Minister Pellegrini
Premier Andrej Babiš met on Wednesday, 11 April 2018, with the Slovakian Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini at his first official visit to the Czech Republic. The main themes of the discussion were cooperation in cross-border transport links, the dual quality of food products, security and defence, economic relations and also the European agenda. Apart from that, the premiers spoke about important anniversaries of this year.

Premier Babiš met with Commissioner Oettinger to discuss the future EU budget
Prime Minister Andrej Babiš met on Thursday, 5 April 2018, with the European Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources, Günther Oettinger. The theme of the meeting was the form and priorities of the multi-annual financial framework after 2020. EU Commissioner Oettinger also met with the Minister of Regional Development, Klára Dostálová, the Minister of Agriculture, Jiří Milek, and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Lenka Dupáková. The late afternoon discussion was preceded by a meeting of the EU Commissioner with economic and social partners and he also spoke with representatives of both Houses of the Czech Parliament.

Premier Babiš met with the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Paul Ryan
On Monday, 26 March 2018, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš met with the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Paul Ryan. At their meeting in the Straka Academy, they spoke about celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia, investment in sectors with a high added value and about the role of the US in international trade.

Prime Minister Andrej Babiš made a presentation on Monday, 26 March 2018, at the opening of the preparatory meeting of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in the Czernin Palace, Prague. Prime Minister Babiš and Other EU Leaders Have Approved Further Guidelines for Brexit Negotiations
Today the European Council continued their talks that started yesterday. The European leaders went on with discussions about trade measures adopted by the United States. Subsequently, in a EU27 format, they approved guidelines for Michel Barnier, the chief of negotiations about the future relations between EU and the United Kingdom.
