The fifth Czech-Polish intergovernmental consultation was held in Prague

On Thursday, 15 November 2018, Prague hosted a joint meeting of representatives of the Czech and Polish governments. At the meeting, already the fifth, the members of the governments headed by Prime Ministers Andrej Babiš and Mateusz Morawiecki discussed mutual cooperation on individual issues. The Prime Ministers also discussed European issues such as the multiannual financial framework or migration.

On Wednesday, 14 November 2018, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš met with US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry at the Straka Academy. They discussed energy cooperation, especially the development of nuclear energy in the Czech Republic and upcoming energy projects in Europe. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Industry and Trade Marta Nováková.

As part of celebrations of the 100th anniversary, Prime Minister takes part in ceremony at Vítkov as well as viewing a military parade

On Sunday, 28 October 2018, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš attended the climax of the 100th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia. Together with Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, he first laid wreaths at the National Memorial at Vítkov, then paid his respects at the memorial to Milan Rastislav Štefánik on Petřín Hill, and after an informal lunch with President of the Republic Miloš Zeman and other special guests, watched a military parade on Evropská.

Prime Minister Babiš celebrates 100th anniversary of Czechoslovakia with lunch with statesmen and speech at the National Museum

At the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of independent Czechoslovakia on Saturday 27 October, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš first attended a solemn swearing in of new soldiers, policemen and professional firefighters on Hradčanské Square, then at the Kramář villa had lunch with statesmen invited to celebrate the anniversary and later delivered a speech on the occasion of the reopening of the National Museum building following its extensive reconstruction.
