The Prime Minister ends his visit to the USA at the memorial to the victims at Ground Zero

On 27 September Prime Minister Andrej Babiš ended his visit to the United States. He and his wife Monika visited a memorial and museum dedicated to the victims of the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001. He also met with the Special Envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS and had talks with Syria’s Foreign Minister.

The future of energy generation and bilateral cooperation – the Prime Minister visits MIT

On Thursday 26 September Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček, and Minister of the Environment Richard Brabec went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, as part of their visit to the United States. They discussed investments and the graduate labour market with representatives of important companies, and they met representatives from the world’s largest supplier of laboratory equipment.

The Czech Republic is progressing and growing richer, Prime Minister Babiš stated to delegates and UN General Assembly

On Wednesday 25 September Prime Minister Andrej Babiš spoke at the UN’s 74th General Assembly in New York. As part of the third working day of his visit to the USA, he also read a speech at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development held under the auspices of the UN General Assembly. He met with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

Prime Minister meets with Boris Johnson and Volodymyr Zelensky in New York, discussing mutual relations and the V4 with the statesmen

Prime Minister Andrej Babiš continued with his visit to the USA on Tuesday 24 September. Together with the ministers, he participated in the General Assembly of the UN, discussed mutual relations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and met with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for the first time.

On Monday 23 September, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš began his weeklong work programme on his visit to the USA by participating in the opening ceremony of the UN Climate Summit in New York. He also delivered a speech at the Concordia Summit, in which he presented the Czech Republic’s innovation strategy and he visited aspiring Czech businessmen in CzechAccelerator.

National Development Fund Ready for Launch: "Memorandum" Signed, Preparation of Pilot Projects Starts

Representatives of four banks - Česká spořitelna, ČSOB, Komerční banka and UniCredit Bank - signed a “Memorandum on Cooperation in the Implementation of Intention to Establish the National Development Fund” (the “Memorandum”) today with Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlíček and with Jiří Jirásek, the CEO of the Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank (ČMZRB), in the presence of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš. This is a fundamental step aimed at creating conditions for the effective implementation of the long-term investment needs of the state in the area of infrastructure.
