Prague to Host the Second 5G Security Conference

During 5–6 May, already the second year of the conference on the 5th generation network security titled Prague 5G Security Conference will take place in Prague. In cooperation with the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, it is again organised by the National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NCISA). The aim of the conference this time will be to bring specific solutions to security problems of 5G networks, which were named by the last year's conference of the same name.

On Monday, 27 January 2020, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš visited the former concentration and extermination camp in Oświęcim. In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the camp's liberation, he and other statesmen honoured the memory of the Holocaust victims.

On 24 January 2020, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček to the function of Transport Minister. Outgoing Transport Minister Vladimír Kremlík passed the office over to his successor.

PM Andrej Babiš talks with Federal Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz about transport infrastructure development

At the invitation of Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, the Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz visited the Czech Republic on Thursday, 16 January 2020. The visit to the Czech Republic is the chancellor's first foreign visit since being appointed to office. The two politicians primarily spoke at Kramář Villa about the transport infrastructure, the energy sector and the EU agenda, and praised the very good relations between the two countries.

Representatives of the V4 countries met in Prague along with Austrian Chancellor Kurz and agreed on unacceptability of migration quotas

On Thursday 16 January 2020, a summit of the prime ministers of the Visegrad Four with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz took place at the National Museum. Among the main topics of the talks were migration, the functioning of the EU, the multiannual financial framework, the EU climate, energy and trade policy, and the further enlargement and future of the European Union.
